Life Development Centre (LDC)

About the LDC, the Life Development Center In 2010, the LDC was founded and built by the Stichting Kumari, our long life friend Monique Derwig. The center is located 25km outside of Kathmandu and takes care of mentally disabled children. Each of these children is living in the center and is supported 24/7 by an experienced staff of social workers. The LDC is led by Rekha and Rajesh Manandhar and Ritesh Manandhar. They all individually have more than 25 years of experience in helping mentally disabled children. This is the only center with this amount of vast experience and structure, in the whole of the Kathmandu Valley.

Himalayan Care Hands is supporting the local staff by hiring additional administrative employees so that the staff can fully focus on the children.
